Do you know? what psychology of dreams? our brain is
always active even in sleeping time. The dream occurs most in Rapid-Eye Moment(REM) sleep stage, in this stage, our brain is highly active and awake. As I said

remember their dreams if they are awakened during the REM stage.

Duration
of Dream

The duration time of the dream varies
it may be few seconds or 20-30 minutes. It’s depending on the thought process
and your interest in the dreamy situation. Many times situations of dreams
jump from one to another situation and that is totally illogical or unpredictable.

If you have
particular thought on a specific topic before going to sleep than most
probably you will get a dream related to that thought. It also shows the thinking
of your subconscious mind and its works on the same which is running on
sub-conscious mind.
